Clinical negligence: compensation claim after error in surgery on fractured wrist

Medical Negligence

What happened?

Our client suffered a fractured wrist, and was admitted to hospital for surgery to fit a fixing plate.

The fixing plate that was fitted subsequently broke, and our client had to be admitted for a second operation.

It transpired that the wrong type of plate had been fitted during the first operation.

As a result, our client had to have further time off work. Realising that he would need help from an experienced Medical Negligence Solicitor, he approached Dominic Goward & Co. for professional advice.

We pursued a compensation claim for clinical negligence and were able to negotiate a settlement of £10,500 on his behalf.
