Arm Injury Claim: Disabled Person In
Mobility Scooter Pothole Accident
Mobility scooter pothole accident causes
arm injury to disabled person

This arm injury claim arose from an accident in which the wheel of a mobility scooter
got caught in a pothole in the road.
Our client was a disabled man. As the footpath he normally used was blocked, he was forced to drive his mobility
scooter along the road.
When the wheel got caught in the pothole, he fell and sustained a nasty arm injury. Knowing that he would
have to make his injury claim against the Highway Authority, he asked Dominic Goward
& Co. to pursue his claim for him.
The Highway Authority initially claimed that all potholes were repaired promptly. We took the trouble to
visit the site - and discovered that the pothole was still there!
Our client received £3,000.00 plus legal costs in a negotiated settlement.
